The team of the Czech Republic announced the composition for the semi-final clash with France for the "Fed Cup". The match will be held on 18 and 19 April in Ostrava.
The hosts will be in stock Petra Kvitova, Karolina Pliskova, Lucie Safarova and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova. For France will compete Alize Cornet, Caroline Garcia, Kristina Mladenovic and Pauline Parmentier. Garcia and Mladenovic performed impressively in the first round against Italy and now will have to show the same form if they want to preserve the chances of France to reach the final in "Fed Cup" for the first time in 10 years.
No less intriguing is shaping up to be the second semi-final, which will be held in "Adler Arena" in Sochi. The hosts from Russia, leading by the world No2 Maria Sharapova will face the strong composition from Germany.
Besides Maria in Sbornaya will rely on Svetlana Kuznetsova, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Elena Vesnina. The Germans, who are finalists in the tournament from last year, will also rely on the star cast - Andrea Petkovic, Angelique Kerber, Sabine Lisicki and Julia Gorges.
