One of the players with the greatest contribution to the new championship of Chelsea - Eden Hazard was selected as a player of the season by the Association of Journalists writing about football in England (FWA). This is the second major individual honor for the Belgian in this campaign after last month, when he was selected No1 in the poll of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA).
The scorer of Tottenham - Harry Kane is ranked second, and third is the captain of Chelsea - John Terry.
For Hazard, who scored 20 goals for Chelsea in all competitions this season, voted 53% of all respondents. He will receive his award officially at a special gala in London on May 21st.
Except Hazard and Terry in the top 10 fall three more players of the Champions - Cesc Fabregas, Thibaut Courtois and Branislav Ivanovic. Also, votes received more Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal), David De Gea (Manchester United), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) and Esteban Cambiasso (Leicester).
