The captain of Bayer Leverkusen underwent surgery

The team of Bayer Leverkusen will have to be without their captain Lars Bender by the end of this year. The midfielder today passed a successful surgery of his ankle.
The problem was not so serious, but required surgical intervention. He took it in Switzerland and will remain at the clinic a few more days and then will return to Germany.
Bender received the injury during the match from cr7 with Victoria Cologne for the Germany Cup on October 26. Originally, Bayer had hoped to be able to rely on it after a month-long break, but it didn`t turn out as expected.
So, the Arsenal midfielder will miss three matches by the end of the autumn title in the Bundesliga, then he won`t be on the line for the match from cr7 for the cup of Germany in the mid-December. But he is going to be ready for the winter training.
